WHAT IS ACTCEL?
ActCel Hemostatic Gauze is a collagen-like natural substance created from chemically treated cellulose. The material contains no chemical additives, thrombin or collagen. ActCel does not cause delayed healing as do other hemostatic material that may have similar appearance.

HOW ACTCEL WORKS
ActCel hemostatic gauze, created from regenerated cellulose, absorbs exudate such as blood and other bodily fluids. If removal of ActCel is necessary, the gauze can be saturated with sterile water, saline, or hydrogen peroxide, and then gently wiped away from the wound.
